Unboxing Your Kit

When you receive your solar panel kit, carefully unbox all components and verify that you have received everything listed in the packing list. Typical components include:

• 2 x Tauro Solar Panels with adhesive backing
• 1 x Interconnect Cable (15cm)
• 1 x Solar charge cable (10cm)

Ensure that all components are in good condition and free from any visible damage. If you notice any issues, please contact customer support for assistance.

Replacing the Panels

The current solar panels on your Tauro device can be replaced with the new panels from your kit. Follow these steps:

1. Gently peel off the existing solar panels from your Tauro device. Use a plastic tool to avoid damaging the surface. applying heat with a hairdryer can help soften the adhesive.
2. Clean the surface where the new panels will be applied to ensure proper adhesion. Use isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth for best results.
3. Each kit includes two solar panels. Identify the correct orientation for each panel based on the connectors.
4. Connect the interconnect cable to the first solar panel with only a single connector, ensuring a secure fit.
5. Place the Tauro device with the logo facing up on a flat surface with the triangle head indicator pointing away from you.

6. Remove the backing from the adhesive on the new solar panels. Feed the interconnect cable through the right side opening of the Tauro device, then carefully align and press the first panel onto the right side of the device, pressing firmly to ensure good adhesion with the palm of your hand.
7. Connect the solar charge cable to the second solar panel, ensuring a secure fit.
8. Align the second panel on the left side of the Tauro device, remove the backing from the adhesive, pass the interconnect cable through the left side opening, and attach to the panel ensuring a good fit. Ensure that the + sign on the PCBA is on the same end as the triangle indicator on the Tauro device.

9. Align and press the second panel onto the left side of the device, pressing firmly to ensure good adhesion like the first panel.
10. Once both panels are securely attached, double-check all connections to ensure they are tight and properly seated.

Wiring and Connections

Ensure that all cables are properly connected:

• The interconnect cable should connect the two solar panels.
• The solar charge cable should connect the left solar panel to the Tauro device.

System Testing

After installation, it is important to test the system to ensure everything is functioning correctly:

1. Place the Tauro device in direct sunlight to allow the solar panels to generate power.
2. Monitor the device's reported charge state to confirm that it is receiving power from the solar panels.
